According to different pressures and temperatures, steam also has many different forms, including overheated steam. The overheated steam will dry due to the high temperature. During the use process, the inner rubber layer of the high pressure steam hose will be slowly vulcanized, so that the inner layer will become harder, which shortens the service life of the high pressure steam hose.
The "popcorn-like” damage on the inner wall of the high pressure steam hose is caused by the inhalation of water in the pores of the inner layer of the high pressure steam hose. After use, there will be remaining steam in the hose, which will condense into water droplets after cooling. Reheating will expand and cause "popcorn-like" damage to the inner wall of the high pressure steam hose. This breakage that occurs can clog the hose and contaminate the steam, so be sure to drain and dry after use.
High pressure steam hoses generally have one or multi-layer reinforcement layers to resist the high pressure of steam. The inner wall of the high pressure steam hose is porous, and the high pressure steam may penetrate through the steel wire reinforcement layer to oxidize the steel wire layer of the high pressure steam hose. Therefore, it is necessary to use steel wire that is not easily oxidized to make the reinforcement layer, which can avoid the danger caused by the rust of the steel wire layer and greatly improves the safety.
In cold weather conditions, the frequency of using steam hoses increases, and if a steam hose leaks, it may cause serious injury to personnel, so the leakage problem of high pressure steam hoses should not be underestimated. The high pressure steam hose assembly leaks, it may leak at the high pressure steam hose itself, or it may leak at the joint.
If there is a leak at the joint of the high pressure steam hose, it is mainly caused by the loose hose joint, which can be solved by replacing a new one.
If the high pressure steam hose itself leaks, it may occur during the working process, and the material conveyed is alternately water and high pressure steam. Another possibility is that the storage and maintenance methods are unreasonable after use. It is recommended to follow the correct storage and maintenance methods to avoid accidents caused by leakage of the high pressure steam hose in the next use.
